Real short stories and environmental thriller

Author reading on the market place in front of the city library "perfectly run".

ergkamen - Three authors, three life stories and three completely different books - that characterized the literary evening on Thursday on the market square in front of the municipal library.

Detlef Göke, author of the real-life short stories "Nette, ganz Nette und die anderen", had come to writing like the virgin to the child. The countless stories that his guests, the campers in Bergkamen, have to tell can fill entire evenings - and books.

Carola Schiller presented "Wolf Zone," her second book but first novel. The documentary environmental thriller takes the reader into the adventurous encounters between wolf advocates, opponents and those who seek constructive debate. "The dialogues and characters really exist," says Schiller, who also covered the return of wolves to NRW as a freelance journalist ten years ago.

Third in the group was Magnus See, publisher from Werne, who read from the short stories "Man müsste mehr ans Meer" and took the audience into the world of a frustrated author who then rediscovers his passion for life and for writing at the seaside.

The dynamic event was moderated by editor Stephanie Tatenhorst - wordplay included - and flanked by motorhome drivers from Bergkamen. The drivers had formed a wagon fortress around the authors with their vehicles, some of which were enormous. The mobile "cocktail pot" from Oberaden sponsored drinks in all variations and thus attracted many a chance guest to the well-attended event in the open air.

Jörg Feierabend, head of the Bergkamen public library, was enthusiastic: "It went perfectly."
